All residents that would normally get picked up on Wednesday Dec. 24th will get picked up on Monday Dec. 22nd
All residents that would normally get picked up on Thursday Dec. 25th will get picked up on Tuesday Dec. 23rd

Employment Opportunities
The City of Oconto Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department is accepting applications for the position of Parks Working Foreman (40 hours per week). The salary range for this position is $11.96-$12.46 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus an excellent benefits package.
The Parks Department is also accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Laborer (35-37 hours per week). The salary range for the position is $11.46-$11.96 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
Both positions require a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Applications, along with a job description and additional qualifications, can be picked up at Oconto City Hall, 1210 Main Street, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The deadline to turn in the applications will be Friday, December 26, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.

Police Chief – Oconto, WI (pop. 4,700) located on the Oconto River 30 minutes north of Green Bay is seeking an innovative law enforcement professional with strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead the Police Department. The Chief, 8 full-time and one part-time officers staff the Oconto Police Department. Ideal candidates would have an Associate’s Degree and ten years of progressive law enforcement experience or a combination of education and experience. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma with ten years of experience in police work, including competence in budget administration and personnel management, a valid Wis. Drivers license, and certification by the Wis. Training and Standards Board. A thorough background check, psychological test, drug screen, and medical exam will be required. Salary range $57,000 to $67,000 plus an excellent benefit package.
