Farnsworth Public Library has been serving residents of the city and surrounding towns since first opening its doors to the public in 1903. Over the years, we’ve seen a lot of changes. Currently there are 8 internet computers available for public use. There’s no cost to use the computers, but there is a charge for printing. Wireless access is available in both the building and in the library parking lot.

Our library collection of over 20,000 items located at Farnsworth Public Library is just a small part of the materials that are readily available to the public. We are part of the nine county OWLSnet consortium which uses the online InfoSoup library catalog http://www.infosoup.org/ to share books, magazines, music, audiobooks and videos. An InfoSoup library card is all it takes to gain access to over 1,600,000 items — simply place a hold on what you need and you’ll be notified when it arrives at the library and is ready for pickup.

Your InfoSoup library card also gives you access to digital downloads of eBooks and audiobooks at the following sites
