MISSION STATEMENT
The Oconto Police Department, as part of, and empowered by the community, is committed to protecting the lives, property, and rights of all people, to maintain order, and to enforce the law impartially. We will provide quality police services in partnership with other members of the community. To fulfill our mission we will strive to attain the highest degree of ethical behavior and professional conduct at all times.

VISION STATEMENT
We, the officers and staff of the Oconto Police Department, strive for a public perception that views this agency and its members as trusted leaders in their community. The decisions we make everyday affect the quality of life in the City of Oconto. Our prime directive is to do what is right even when no one is watching.

We embrace our community with a spirit of trust through a moral foundation of integrity, a code of ethics, and a philosophy of being the community’s helping hand. The men and women of the Oconto Police Department value human life, honesty, and the Constitutions of the United States and State of Wisconsin. We also value the Body of Law, our community, problem solving with our citizens, excellence in the performance of our duties, accountability for our actions, along with the cooperation and teamwork among our members.
