Deputy Clerk/Treasurer – Oconto, WI (pop. 4,500), located on the Oconto River 30 minutes north of Green Bay, has a current opening for the position of Deputy Clerk/Treasurer. This position is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Hours are generally 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with occasional evening and early-morning hours required.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: preparation and processing of payroll, filing of monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reports, processing of new employee paperwork, preparation of monthly journal entries, review of daily ambulance runs, filing and follow-up of worker’s compensation claims, preparation of agendas and minutes; preparation of monthly and annual fuel reports, invoicing of fire calls, preparation of monthly sales tax reports, election administration duties, answering phone calls/inquiries, receipting and special projects and other duties as assigned. In the event of the temporary absence of the City Administrator, the Deputy Clerk/Treasurer performs the duties of the Administrator.
Minimum qualifications include at least three years of experience working in an office environment. Individual must have customer service experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, strong computer skills and be self-motivated. A working knowledge of municipal government, payroll, elections and/or a background in accounting are a plus. Experience with Workhorse and/or municipal accounting software is also a plus. Must be able to pass background check. Must have the ability to be bonded.

International Youth Sailing of Oshkosh is presenting weekly summer sailing classes on Thursdays in June (23rd and 30th) and July (7th,14th and 21st) at the Oconto Breakwater Park.
