The City of Oconto would like to extend a huge thanks to Ron Filter for repairing and repainting the City’s manger pieces. Estimates are that the wooden pieces are between 60 and 70 years old. Here is just a sample of the “after” and the “before”. To see the rest of the transformations, go to www.facebook.com/cityofocontowi. Thanks, Ron, for making them all look new again!

City of Oconto to Dredge in 2013
In order to keep the Oconto River and Harbor open to commercial fishermen and recreational boaters this summer, the City will be dredging starting on or around June 15, 2013. Specifications for this project will be released next week. The project is scheduled for two phases. Phase 1 will return the river from the mouth to Hi Seas Marina to 6.5 feet deep. Phase 2 is contingent upon receiving grant money and will extend the area of the dredge to the Oconto Yacht Club and the depth to 8.5 feet. If you have any questions, please contact City Hall at (920)834-7711.
