Today, we will begin sending out Absentee Ballots to electors with valid requests on file for the 2022 Spring Election. The State of Wisconsin has implemented some big changes recently regarding Absentee voting. New for the April 2022 Spring Election, Absentee Ballot drop boxes are now illegal AND the elector must return their own ballot to the Municipal Clerk’s office. You can no longer return someone else’s ballot for them. Mailing your ballot back is still an option, however the Post Office requests you get your ballot in the mail A WEEK in advance to ensure your ballot makes it back to the Clerk’s office on time. (April 5th by 8:00 pm) Ballots received after 8:00 pm on April 5th WILL NOT BE COUNTED. Please contact your Municipal Clerk if you have any questions! admin@cityofoconto.com or 920-834-7711
