July 31st and August 1st: “MDA Fill the Boot” sponsored by the Oconto Fire Department – Friday, July 31st from 3 to 7 p.m. – Saturday, August 1st from 8 a.m. To 3 p.m.
August 1st and 2nd: SAGBRAW Biking Tour will be staying overnight in Oconto at the Elementary School. The majority will be arriving in Oconto around 2 or 3 p.m. Saturday, August 1st. After registering at the school, they will be boarding Commission on Aging busses and taken around the City – “A Taste of Oconto” (our restaurants, bars, supper club). They will be taken back to Crivello’s for a Rules Meeting at 7:15 p.m. Following the meeting they will be transported back to the elementary school up to 10:00 p.m.
August 4th: National Night Out at Oconto City Hall from 6 to 9 p.m.
August 8th: Kiwanis 5K – 1/2 Marathon Race (N.E.W. Road Race Championships) – 7:00 a.m. To 1:30 p.m. Race starts at Copper Culture Park – 1/2 Marathoners go to the end of the Causeway and back – 5K’s around Brazeau Avenue and back.
August 16th: Sheboygan Walleye Club/Sportsmen’s Club Fishing Tournament at Breakwater Park.
August 21st and 22nd: AIM Fishing Tournament at Breakwater Park.
August 22nd: Oconto Music Festival on Huron Avenue – 2 to 10 p.m.
