The museum will be opening for the 2024 season on Friday, May 24th, 2024.
The Museum is open 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a tour guide on-site to give tours daily. It will remain open through Monday, September 2nd, 2024.
Admission is FREE, but donations are greatly appreciated. A State Park sticker is not required.

The City of Oconto will be participating in No Mow May again in 2024. Due to some issues in the previous years, we will be requiring those wanting to participate to sign up at City Hall.
Please stop in, call City Hall at 920-834-7711, or email admin@cityofocontowi.gov to get on the No Mow May Participation List.

TESTING ELECTRONIC VOTING EQUIPMENT
for the APRIL 2nd, 2024 SPRING PRIMARY
Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.
According to Wis. Stats. 5.84(1) Testing Equipment, the electronic voting equipment must be tested at a public meeting. The ImageCast Evolution (ICE) electronic voting system which utilizes automatic tabulating equipment will be tested on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. for the City of Oconto, 1210 Main Street, Oconto, WI 54153.

The test is open to the public. The test shall be conducted by processing a pre-audited group of ballots so marked as to record a predetermined number of valid votes for each candidate and on each referendum (when applicable). The test shall include for each office one or more ballots which have votes in excess of the number allowed by law in order to test the ability of the automatic tabulating equipment to reject such votes. An errorless count must be made before the Clerk can approve the equipment for use in the election.
The top 8 vote getters will move to the Spring Election ballot on April 2, 2024.
